Before restoring a historical botanical garden in South Africa (a journey that Herman and his wife Yvonne started in 2000 and lasted 11 years) Herman was active as a freelance (photo-)journalist in Holland.
After his retirement in 2011 he picked up his old hobby photography again but now in the digital age.
Armed with a Sony A77 camera and diverse lenses plus an Apple Mac with Photoshop CS6 Herman creates, next to traditional landscapes...
